AARBAA North Dakota files comment on cycling conduct along US-2, the Enchanted Highway, and the Maah Daah Hey Trail, and petitions the North Dakota Department of Transportation for enforcement review. Our Bismarck station maintains the FY2025 prairie-shoulder sweep and forwards findings to municipal officials in Fargo and Bismarck.
Our North Dakota chapter currently has 134 dedicated members across 1 local chapter. We're one of the active state chapters in the national AARBAA network, and our membership continues to grow as more North Dakota residents recognize the need for safer roads and accountability in cycling infrastructure planning.
North Dakota's caseload concentrates on the US-2 prairie shoulders west of Minot, the Enchanted Highway weekend rides, and the Maah Daah Hey Trail crossings, where the Bismarck station recorded 2.3 shed windbreakers per prairie mile in FY2025. Winter wind advisories on I-94 remain under review.
Our closed files include the US-2 Prairie Shoulder Advisory of 2024 and the Bismarck Expressway sightline review. Both are held under Records Retention Schedule 7 and available at the public counter on Form AAR-101.
The North Dakota chapter holds regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Meeting locations rotate between our 1 chapter location to ensure all members can participate.
