What does AARBAA do in Delaware?

Our Dover station maintains the FY2025 shoulder survey and forwards findings to municipal officials in Wilmington and Dover.

How many members does the Delaware chapter have?

Our Delaware chapter currently has 156 dedicated members across 1 local chapter. We're one of the active state chapters in the national AARBAA network, and our membership continues to grow as more Delaware residents recognize the need for safer roads and accountability in cycling infrastructure planning.

What are the main road safety challenges in Delaware?

Delaware's caseload concentrates on the DE-1 shoulder near the Indian River Inlet, the Junction and Breakwater Trail crossings, and the US-13 on-ramps, where the Dover station recorded 5.6 spent CO2 inflator cartridges per shoulder-mile in FY2025. Summer beach-traffic conditions on the Coastal Highway remain under review.

What victories has AARBAA Delaware achieved?

Our closed files include the DuPont Highway Merge Advisory of 2024 and the Kirkwood Highway sightline review outside Wilmington. Both are held under Records Retention Schedule 7 and available at the public counter on Form AAR-101.

When and where does the Delaware chapter meet?
