AARBAA Idaho files comment on cycling conduct along the Boise Greenbelt, Bogus Basin Road, ID-21 (the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway), and ID-55, and petitions the Idaho Transportation Department for enforcement review. Our Boise station maintains the FY2025 crossing survey and forwards findings to officials in Boise and Idaho Falls.
Our Idaho chapter currently has 213 dedicated members across 2 local chapters. We're one of the active state chapters in the national AARBAA network, and our membership continues to grow as more Idaho residents recognize the need for safer roads and accountability in cycling infrastructure planning.
Idaho's caseload concentrates on the Boise Greenbelt crossings, where the Boise station recorded 4.4 yielded-but-not-stopped intersections per mile in FY2025 under the Idaho Stop statute, along with the Bogus Basin Road descents and the ID-21 shoulder. Spring snowmelt runoff on the Payette River byway remains under review.
Our closed files include the Bogus Basin Road Descent Advisory of 2024 and the ID-21 sightline review. Both are held under Records Retention Schedule 7 and available at the public counter on Form AAR-101.
The Idaho chapter holds regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Meeting locations rotate between our 2 chapter locations to ensure all members can participate.
